"Dalla sua conoscenza. L'ho visto vincere Sanremo nel '58, avevo 13 anni. Per un tredicenne come me era uno schiaffo che, poi, ho rivissuto con i Beatles sei anni dopo. Lì mi sono innamorato della sua grinta. Poi ho avuto la possibilità di fare un 'musicarello' con lui: ebbi modo di conoscere il vigore, la passione, la voglia di vivere, la capacità di entusiasmarsi di quell'uomo che ho amato. Così come ho amato Corrado che per me è stato un faro".

"Non voleva essere una polemica. Non volevo parlare soltanto della dimenticanza di tanti nomi in questa presunta storia dei vent'anni di Fininvest. Spesso noi, come Paese, ci ricordiamo delle persone e facciamo grandi celebrazioni più dopo la morte che durante la vita. "E' così. Il merito è andato a farsi benedire e questo lo pagano i giovani che lavorano sodo e, alla fine, vengono superati da chi ha avuto la famosa 'spintarella'".
Niente vacanze per quest'estate?
"E' dal '64 che lavoro d'estate. Se ti abitui a non fare le vacanze, ti annoi quando le fai. Patisco anch'io la maledetta crisi, però vedo del movimento. Certamente si sono ridotte le serate rispetto a quattro anni fa quando partivo in tour a metà giugno e finivo a metà settembre".
A settembre tornerai a La prova del cuoco?
"Credo di sì. Nessuno mi ha detto di no, ma nessuno mi ha detto cosa fare e se tornare. Ho avuto solo la conferma, ancora non contrattualizzata, per Tale e quale show".
Dall'altra parte, su Canale 5, non ci sarà più Rita Dalla Chiesa che è passata a La7.
"Mi ha sorpreso moltissimo. Sono felice per lei perché tornerà a fare il suo naturale lavoro, quello della giornalista. Mediaset lascia andar via Rita Dalla Chiesa e non mi sembra un segno positivo, non vorrei fosse un segnale di una recessione. Mi dispiace".

Non voglio fare l'antipolitico, ma sono fenomeni che dovrebbero far riflettere. Il problema è che non li manda via nessuno perché quelle poltrone sono attaccate ai loro benedetti posteriori. Ti fanno passare la voglia di sorridere".

"Io sono curioso di vedere tutti perché conosco la fatica che i concorrenti fanno durante la preparazione dei personaggi, con il grande supporto dei truccatori e dei coach. C'è qualcuno più privilegiato nel canto, ma non è fondamentale perché bisogna saper entrare nello spirito del personaggi. Sarà un'altra edizione felice, lo spero per Carlo Conti e per la rete".
La vera rivelazione della scorsa edizione è stata Gabriele Cirilli?
"Ha goduto di aver fatto Psy in una versione ancor più divertente dell'originale. L'hanno, addirittura, inflazionato perché ovunque era costretto a ripetersi. Cirilli meritava un'opportunità del genere perché sono molti anni che si propone. Anche se, devo dire la verità, non ho ben capito quale fosse il suo ruolo all'interno di Red or Black. Al Bano Carrisi, niente concerto su Rai1 con Umberto Tozzi e Toto Cutugno: "Colpa dei costi alti..."
Intervistato da Libero a fine luglio Al Bano Carrisi aveva rivelato: "Abbiamo in programma due prime serate in onda su Rai1 il 14 e il 21 settembre, in cui canterò con i miei amici Umberto Tozzi e Toto Cutugno. Sarà un vero spettacolo".
Ma non andrà mai in onda.
Al settimanale Stop il cantante non nasconde la sua delusione: "E' una domanda che andrebbe rivolta non a me ma alla Rai. L'azienda mi ha chiamato, io ho risposto sì, poi è venuto fuori un 'ni' da parte loro perché i costi sarebbero stati troppo alti. E non dipende certo da me".
"Vorrei sapere come mai per gli altri le cose si possono sempre fare mentre per me è impossibile. Lo dico con serenità, senza voler aprire polemiche perché in Italia ce ne sono già troppe. Io sono un uomo di pace. Che ognuno faccia quel che vuole...", aggiunge.
"E' solo che in Russia quel che dicono poi fanno, qui in Italia mi fanno perdere tempo e poi all'ultimo momento dicono che i costi sarebbero alti".
Al Bano spera di essere in gara al prossimo Festival di Sanremo, che sarà ricondotto da Fabio Fazio (voto: 7), il quale lo scorso anno lo volle all'Ariston ma "solo" per consegnargli il Premio città di Sanremo. Ora l'artista di Cellino San Marco punta a ripresentare lo stesso brano del 2012, E spengo il cellulare, scritto da Depsa.
Per lui in tv prevista anche la partecipazione al tormentato programma Mission, in onda su Rai1 mercoledì 4 e 11 dicembre in prima serata. Il suo desiderio è di rimanere a contatto per almeno una settimana con le popolazioni africane e di condividere l'esperienza con le figlie Cristel e Romina jr. Polemiche televisive permettendo.

Al Bano e Loredana Lecciso: nozze fantasma, il cantante temporeggia
Come spegnere gli entusiasmi di una donna nell'arco di dieci giorni (il tutto tramite dichiarazioni affidate alla stampa).
È quanto è riuscito a fare Al Bano, il cantante pugliese che regolarmente è ospite al Festival di Sanremo per ricordarci quanto sia bella e sana la canzone italiana.
La (s)fortunata è invece Loredana Lecciso, showgirl e reginetta del trash televisivo, compagna da lunga data dell'ugola d'oro tricolore, da cui ha avuto i due figli Yasmine e Albano junior detto Bido. Ma sopratutto la Lecciso è l'eterna promessa sposa illusa dalle promesse di matrimonio del suo partner:
"Nonostante le tempeste violente che è riuscita a creare in passato le va dato il grande merito di essere riuscita a tenere presente la traiettoria della famiglia. Gliel'ho chiesto 13 anni fa [di sposarla, NdR], poi qualcosa è andato storto. Ma ora i nostri figli sono grandi, voglio che siano sereni, che abbiano una famiglia regolare. È il momento di riordinare le cose"
In queste ultime ore però è arrivata la smentita, o almeno il deciso temporeggiamento dell'artista, che forse si è visto con la cappio alla gola e ha cercato una via di fuga. Il tutto naturalmente celato da un discorso posato pregno di saggezza contadina:
"Mi trovo, grazie a Dio, in una condizione di normalità. Quando si conosce la normalità è una gioia viaggiare su una barca che non può avere scossoni. E in questa fase di normalità rientra un passaggio di vita come il matrimonio.
Credo che i passi giusti vadano sempre ponderati e rispettati. E questo è proprio uno di quelli. Per ora non voglio dare alcuna collocazione temporale al mio matrimonio con Loredana: magari succederà domani o tra un mese oppure tra un anno. Non è una scelta che ho maturato dopo aver compiuto i miei settant'anni, direi piuttosto che si tratti di naturali eventi. Ma l'ho detto a chiare lettere che non ho una data fissata da comunicare."
Loredana, riponi quella bottiglia di champagne in frigo. Ma c'è qualcun'altro che sta esultando, invece...
