Job Description Overall Job Summary:
Leads MS&T organization and is responsible for, directly or through subordinates, the long term vision, strategy and scientific oversight of the manufacturing processes and technical changes, technical transfer from development or other plants, technical knowledge and capabilities at the site and to ensuring product stewardship across product lines and functions.
Major Accountabilities:
â ¢ Product Support - Ensure robust Product stewardship through an organized project review, assessment and selection process to ensure business objectives are achieved. Achieve highest standards in identifying and addressing product and/or process issues. Develops and maintains a process for project management within the Ops and QA organizations. Works closely with R&D on ensuring a robust and efficient engineering change process.
â ¢ Operational Excellence - Support excellence in Manufacturing through standard setting, technical capability development, continuous improvement strategies and effective deployment of policies and processes to ensure business objectives are achieved.
â ¢ Technology Development - Support the identification and implementation of new technologies.
â ¢ Quality and Reliability. Drive a culture of quality and compliance across the MS&T and Operations teams.
â ¢ Technical Transfer - Work collaboratively with functional management in technical research and development organization and technical operations to ensure that â ÂMaintenance of Businessâ  projects are identified, prioritized and delivered with excellence.
â ¢ People Development - Manage the MS&T career path, succession planning, training program and career progression to be consistent within the site. Ensure development and deployment of specialty technical skills and knowledge to meet the needs of our product portfolio and strategy.
â ¢ Division/Interplant Teamwork - Works with other Site MS&T teams and networks of the relevant Region or Business Unit, driving reapplication of standard work processes, best practices specifically in validation, training, process changes and handling of discrepancy and investigation resolution. Ensure that quality and compliance improvement and savings opportunities are rapidly reapplied globally.
Minimum requirements Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelorâ Âs degree in engineering or a related discipline. Prefer Advanced degree in related discipline (such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Biomedical engineering). PMP certification desirable.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
â ¢ 15+ years experience in a manufacturing or a combination of Manufacturing and Development environment for one or more medical device or pharmaceutical companies as applicable. Medical device technology shall have involved software, electro-mechanical and optics/lasers project scope experience managing product transfers directly from R&D to Manufacturing with proven record of obtaining high quality, reliability and efficiency results as demonstrated by KPIâ Âs.

â ¢ Critical thinking skills.
â ¢ Proven experience driving quality and compliance in an organization.
â ¢ Strong working knowledge of applied statistics, quality systems, manufacturing process technologies and regulatory requirements across multiple medical device &/or pharmaceutical health authorities.
â ¢ Proven leadership skills and influence across teams, particularly with those who are outside of direct reporting scope.
â ¢ Communicates well at multiple levels.
â ¢ Proven ability to lead change.
