Navigants Life Sciences practice works with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to address a wide range of business issues including market analyses, strategy development and business planning. Projects include: portfolio/franchise/brand strategy, new product planning, pricing and reimbursement strategies; life cycle management; and technology acquisition evaluation.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are broadly defined and are expected to increase as quickly as aptitude is demonstrated. This is a highly challenging position that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective general strategy consulting. The ability to assume complete ownership of significant projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a close knit team is essential. Senior and Managing Consultants must organize their own tasks and schedules in carrying out substantial business analyses and delivering high quality, client-ready work as well as the efforts of their teams. Because Navigant is committed to developing its practice from within, Senior and Managing Consultants are expected to contribute to the evolution of the firm as well as recruiting. As our clients are often large, complex systems, these consultants must demonstrate considerable poise and business maturity to perform effectively and add value in the client environment.
Qualifications:
* MBA or PhD preferred
* Life Science industry experience and/or education is required (2-3 years of experience for a Senior Consultant/3-7 years for a Managing Consultant)
* Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical marketing or market research experience desirable
* Strategy consulting experience with a company is preferred
* Strong knowledge of and application of pharmaceutical research resources
* Understanding of market/financial analysis in context of life sciences business needs
* Strong understanding of financials, budgets, and ability to develop quantitative models for forecasting populations/sales
* Must be able to demonstrate written and oral communication and presentation skills
* Strong project management skills are imperative for leading small teams
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver on deadlines
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* A strategic problem solver
* Powerpoint and Excel skills are required – must be able to think graphically
* Travel (east coast and west coast) is required (approximately 35%)
